Zesty Z’s main ingredient is za’atar (Middle Eastern thyme), which is enjoyed by millions across the region and neighboring countries in Europe, mixed with other herbs, olive oil, and sesame seeds. The flavor of za’atar has begun to gain popularity in the US, as za’atar makes its debut nationwide among foodies, chefs, and food media.
Already available in 45 grocery and specialty stores in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Washington, DC, Zesty Z’s collaboration with UNFI will allow the company to serve a broader network of customers and future za’atar lovers.
Zesty Z is gluten free, low in sodium, sugar free, and includes only plant-based ingredients. It is uniquely versatile and requires no refrigeration after opening. Customers are using Zesty Z as a condiment on their favorite foods at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or on its own as a dip when snacking and entertaining guests.
From concept to creation, Zesty Z’s Co-Founder and CEO Alexander Harik draws inspiration for the product from his Lebanese roots.
